This is delightful! You fully immersed me in the allegory. I am brand new to LiveJournal and Idol, but the sweet busted details made me just as nostalgic as the protagonist. How fun! You've distilled the very essence of what Idol is all about and turned it into a metaphor for actually doing it! I wonder if those who have never actively participated realize just how accurate this is! It's certainly been quite an eventful day at the Carnival, and I'm glad you were there to share it.
