The past couple nights I have been waking up at about 3 in the morning to a moaning cat that sounds like Lizzy. By the time we get out to the car and drive to where it's coming from, it stops. I'm really only 50% sure that it's lizzy but how do you sleep through it knowing that it might be the cat that you want to be safe and warm in your home? Last night I had to write and essay, so I shut my window so I wouldn't wake up to the screaming. I feel so guilty that I purposely didn't listen. It breaks my heart to think that she might be in the neighborhood next to us but is unable to find her way home. Someone finally called me saying that they thought they saw her and in that neighborhood too. She won't come out to our calls.. why can't she make it over the wall and come back home. I can see the houses from this desk... she's right there. Just one wall Lizzy, just one wall. I'm thinking of waking up at 3 am and just driving over there to listen... to ease my mind... so that if it's really not Lizzy moaning for food, I won't be completely driven insaine.
