Oh man, I'm so sleepy. I know I should watch the rest of the president show, but it's getting past my bedtime and I'm super sure how I feel about his folksienss. My instinct is to like it, but then I'm thinking I'm being tricked for liking it.

I can't get on the Disapointed in Obama train just yet - I keep thinking that it's only been a year. I didn't get anything awesome done in the first year at my job either. I mean, I did some cool, small, behind the scenes things that built up to bigger things, but nothing anyone would really write home about.

He makes a great speech and he says a lot of things that I want to hear and that's about nine million times better than our last one.

Otherwise, a busy day at work followed by vanishing time at home. I had a great hour long chat with my friend Chris about crazy things that happen at work and about fabulous Jane Austen fan fic. She made this assesment: "I don't care how bad it is, if it lets me spend more time in that world, I'm reading the whole thing."

The series I'm reading just now consists of three books that detail Mr. Darcy's POV durring the events of "Pride and Predjudice" and is actually surpisingly good. The author, Pamela Aiden, does a fine job of working little bits of news and public life into the background - things that Austen would never have needed to include, but that provide me a great deal of fine lunch time Googling. And once again, I'm learning more history from novels that I ever got from a history class.
