First, what do I want for Christmas?

My post-visit gloominess was quite bad earlier today, but is rather starting to lift now. Despite feeling so blue I could almost imagine that I was hungover, I managed to write half of a poem, work on the Christmas garden, clean the bathroom, and run the vacuum. I met with the Team Poetry girls earlier and am watching the Ravens v. Steeler game now.

Busy week ahead. Tomorrow night, I've got a guy coming to look at my bathroom. I popped off a couple of loose tiles hoping they would just need to be reset. No such luck, the wall underneath is wet and black. It could be a lot worse, but is still in need of more help than I can give it. The plan is that I will do the work of popping off and cleaning the tiles and the man will cut out and replace the bad section of wall.

In my dreams I'd gut the bathroom and redo it, but I just don't feel like putting that kind of cash into a simple house in a slightly dodgy neighborhood. The biggest problem I have is that when my bathroom was last redone, the owners chose to tile the whole thing. That means if I replace the 1970's cream tile, I'll basically have to demo the thing and have all new walls put up. Don't think I want to get into all of that... But we'll see what the man says. If I can rip down the tile and get him to do the walls, maybe I will update the whole thing. The only big thing needing replacement is the sink and stand. Who knows, we'll see. It would be nice to have it looking liveable when it comes time to sell which will hopefully be sooner rather than later.

Man, I hate thinking about bathroom tile.

And then my Tuesday project will be a visit to the craft store so that I can get a few things to finish up the Christmas Garden. Good Stuff.

At somepoint, I suppose I'll need to do some Christmas shopping.
