...I say that, but I guess I really DON'T know what I'm going to do with myself other than pilot the Eva. It's not the kind of career path that leaves you thinking about retirement much.

The people ivnovled with the Eva project especially... a chance to take it easy would be great.

What were you planning on doing? I just spent my life at military school, but considering that you've already been here for the past few years...

I... dunno really. I've been a farmhand and I've spent the last few years of my life bunching the crap out of giant robots, training alongside the champ of the Gundam Fight, meeting you...

For the moment, I want to study somewhere. Have the knowledge so I can do whatever I want with my life. That's not too big a problem, right?

Of course not! It's your life, isn't it? You should be able to do that if you want.

...I'd probably even be able to go along with you, if you want, that is. The only loose end I still have to tie up is going back home to finish working out my family's estate. Things are really difficult on that front when you go by a false name for a year and everybody thinks you're dead. You haven't even seen the mansion, have you?

So, what are you guys gonna do now? We were talking about our post-war plans before, anything changed since then?

I think I'll be settling down somewhere. By all rights we should return Exia to Celestial Being now, but there's still I'd like to be able to do so I can support Sara. I can't just punch every problem away, after all.

Yeah, I know. All that training really paid off in the end...

But fuck my arms want to fall off.
