I had opened a support request about the on and off loading/not loading of LJ for me. Their response is (thankfully that comment got mailed):

As a result of the move, the IP address associated with LiveJournal.com has been changed. This requires the various DNS servers around the globe to update their databases; a process that can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to complete. You are most likely being routed to LiveJournal.com by a DNS server with the old IP address still cached in their system. As the DNS server you connect to can vary from request to request, this could cause the seemingly random outages you are reporting.

Please keep trying to access the site. This issue should be resolved within the next 24 hours when your local DNS servers update their records. Thank you for your patience.

At least I know what why I have problems with the page. I can still at most times access my lj over http://mesnica.livejournal.com, so I can read my flist and comments I get. I can also read any other journal that's paid, but I can't read on free journals or give comments. So if I'm not responding to a comment of yours, it's because I can't.
[Edit] At the moment I get all LJ pages again, so yeah, on and off and sometimes limited, sometimes now *sighs*

Semagic wouldn't connect either, but I could change some stuff in the settings and got it to connect to the new IP adress, not the old one.

I also blaim any possible angst in Evidence 4 on LJ. I don't deal well with frustration :P
