Update from my end...
Hello all!
I just wanted to pop in and give everyone an update from me so you all don't think I have fallen off the face of the earth.
My husband and I still have not gotten to move into our new place yet. Right now it's a bit of a waiting game. The guy who is doing all the remodeling to the place had a death in the family as well as some health issues come up and family matters which puts his remodeling behind. Hubby and I aren't thrilled about this, but it is what it is, so in the meantime we just gotta wait it out. Shit happens right?? It's life. Life happens.
Some shit happened on our end a few weeks ago. My husband was on his way to work in the morning and he smucked a deer. :( Sad panda. The insurance company decided to total our car...very sad! That's one car I am going to miss! It had all the toys and bells and whistles on it so we got pretty spoiled with that one lol. In the meantime we have been shopping around for a new car. Well, we finally got approved for one, however here we are again with another waiting game. We need to wait for the insurance company to cut the check and dig up our title from the one that got totaled and once all that is out of the way, we can go buy ourselves a car. The dealer told us that it could take up to a week or better on that check. Which is fine, because now we gotta come up with the money for the deductible. Figures..but again, it is what it is and shit happens.
Moving right along...my aunt and uncle and my cousins have come home. They come home once every summer. I get to see them once a year so while they are here before they go back home to Kansas I will be visiting with them when I can :) It's always nice to see family!
My step son is also home from his first tour from the Navy. Drew and I are just ecstatic!! His flight is on 10th so he will be home in just a matter of days! He will be staying with us for half the time on his leave, and then the other half with his mother and seeing the rest of the family before he has to go back out to base in Virginia Beach. I have some things to accomplish around here before he arrives. It's going to be great seeing him again and hearing all about his tour and all the places he has seen and things he has done.
My summer has been quite busy on my end, and I don't see much of my computer anymore to do much of anything. I have no time for graphics anymore or even any time to come to LJ and request anything from anyone else. I'm very sorry, but that's life, it is what it is.
Without trying to sound selfish, but there are things that I need to do and accomplish for OUR lives first. Graphics have always come last, and will always come last as it's only ever been a hobby for me to kill time when I was bored and there was nothing else to do. Things are happening and changing in our lives and when the opportunity is here we must take advantage of it and live for US. I do not want this to upset anyone, and I can only hope that all of you understand.
Some day if I should ever get the chance to create graphics again and have the time, I will be back. :) I am uncertain of when that time will come, but whenever it is, I will be back.
I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday and that you all have been enjoying your summer basking in the sunshine! I know I am! :D Enjoy the rest of your week and I promise I will check in from time to time
