Ok time to update the journal. I’ve done a lot of fun stuff the past couple of weeks. Let’s see…the weekend before this one, on that Friday Mark and I went to the drive-in to see “Kung Fu Panda 2”, “Super 8”, and “Thor”. Going to the drive-in is probably my very favorite date type thing that Mark and I do. :)
Then that Saturday I made lemon blueberry cupcakes for Chrissy’s birthday, and made Mark and me a dinner of tacos, mango salsa, and mango margaritas. :)
Sunday Mark, Chrissy, and I went to Philly for Chrissy’s birthday. We stopped at Wizard World, which is our yearly tradition, then spent the rest of the day roaming around Chinatown, ending the day with dinner at a really good Thai restaurant that just opened up that I definitely want to check out again sometime.
Monday Jeff came to visit! So I took the day off work to see him, as well as to take Ms. Poof for her last vet visit. She has now ressumed life as normal. Except her eye was getting red again last night and she was squinting, since we’re not giving her the drops anymore. :( I wonder if I should just put eye drops in her eyes every once in a while. So Jeff and I went to Baugher’s Farm to pick sweet cherries, strawberries, and snap peas. If I knew I was going to like the sweet cherries so much I would have picked more! Omg they were so good, but unfortunately the season is already over. Afterward it was time for Mark to get home from work, so we all went out for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.
Wednesday night before Mark had to leave for his work trip to New Orleans we watched the documentary “Marwencol” which was actually pretty good.
Thursday evening I dropped off a couple of jewelry pieces at Dreamland, and Friday afternoon I got a text saying one of the pieces (lightbulb pendant) had already sold!
Friday evening my mom came over and we watched “The Dark Knight” and ordered a pizza.
Saturday I went to Derrick and Ronnita’s wedding. It was so great to see how happy the two of them were. After the reception I went over to Chrissy and Tony’s and watched “Kick Ass” and we made sushi.
Sunday I went to Baugher’s Farm with Linda, but this time to pick sour cherries! And last night I used up almost all of the cherries I picked to make my first ever cherry pie completely from scratch! I haven’t eaten any yet because I’m waiting for Mark to get home from New Orleans tonight so we can try it together. I hope it turned out well. It looks pretty at least!
And now back to work.
