Merriam Webster has a Visual Dictionary thing that looks like it could end up being neat, though it's still a little sparse, yet, I found this diagramme interesting.
Note that Buddhism, Shinto and Confucianism all start at the same time, and that Hinduism pre-dates Moses. EDIT: Several of you have alerted me to the incorrectness of this information. No wonder I hadn't known of it. I'm rather surprised an outfit like Merriam Webster doesn't have good fact checkers. See comments for details on the inaccuracies.
