This fat dyke's rant!
I've been thinking lately about the state of lesbian existence in my life and i've come to the conclusion that I'm sick of people always saying that there aren't any non-crazy, unmarried lesbians. It's not true. I know way too many lesbians who are not in relationships. So I assert that the only lesbians other lesbians desire are those that they shouldn't have or that they can't have. So when you say there aren't any available lesbians what you really mean is that there aren't any lesbians that you desire. There aren't any lesbians that fit your ideas of what you want in a significant other. For some reason that quiet shy fat chick in the corner wasn't what you were looking for when you stepped into the coffeehouse, bar, club, etc tonight. Is this a personal rant! You bet your vagina it is! I am sick of people telling me that sometimes you have to be the pursuer. The truth is when you are a fat non-butch dyke you always have to pursue. Just one time in my life I want the chick at the bar or on the dance floor to come to me! Just once! That's all I ask for.
I'm not a lesbian who wants to move in with you. I don't want to nest. you have your space and I have mine. LITERALLY! I'm not looking for a one night stand and I'm not searching for forever. i don't want to have your kids or for you to have mine. I just want someone I can have a decent conversation with. It doesn't have to be political or aware of the world. hell we can talk about life and fashion for all I care. I just want someone who is above the shallow mating games that seem to be so prominent in the world.
A few days ago, I was chatting with a good friend of mind and we both realized that the women in the bars are either jail bait or our mother's ages. And those who don't fall into those two categories are trying to fit into those categories. So here's my question. Where are the mature lesbians, bisexual transgender women who are in their late 20s to mid/late 30s and are comfortable with that age and point in their lives. I know at least 4 women that are in that category and available.
So this rant winds down with no answers and no resolutions only that the next time someone says there are no available women loving women around ask them to look again and stop lying to themselves.
