It costs more than I expected to spend but the more i'm in it the more I love it! It's a studio but one of the nicest and compartmentalized studios I have ever seen. There is the main room but off in it's own little room is the kitchen with a well defined dining area. Then there's the bathroom which has a mirror on the outside of the door and a smaller mirror at face level when you're sitting on the toilet (can we say pee and put on makeup) such a multitask space! it comes with a built-in dresser and enough but not a lot of closet space. I have 3 really nice size windows and it's the first time I've lived in an apartment that lets a nice amount of sunshine in. Did I mention i'm on the third floor? I'm definitely going to get a daily workout there! I love this apt and it makes me sad that i'm going to have to move eventually. I mean not in the next few months but I will want more space eventually or will I?
Oh so the next few days will be focused on putting some finishing touches on my resume and finding a foldout couch. Do they still make the foldout bed/couches? I hope so because it would be a perfect fit for the studio so that I can have the best of both worlds. Tonight is first thursday here which means that they are serving wine and cheese at all of the galleries tonight. I think I will go and casually mention that I have a new apt in need of art work...do you think that will get me more wine? In a nutshell, things are moving at the pace that I expected it to. Now I just need my mother to send me my printer so that I can start making copies of my resume and writing coverletters.
Erin, when I get a couch/bed we can make plans for a visit. I just started feeling really lonely here today. It was only momentary but it reminded me that I need to start socializing again. Oh by the way, I'm going to the sat/sun open air market this weekend! Last time I was here it was the off season so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also supposed to go visit the rose gardens its not supposed to be that far away from where I am. I could walk to the hills from where I'm living which is sooooo coool! I'm done gushing.
Laters! (I haven't said that one in years!)
