Darling! I got your dress & your check! And I love the dress- that will look gorgeous on you.

Now, my questions- how about gold? Platinum or Silver would be all wrong with this dress, but the beads have a strong undercolor of gold. I think I could make it look lovely, and you would make it lovely by wearing it. Also, it would have added future wearability. Should gold not be preferred, and you'd like more of a 'match' should I err on the side of red, or on the side of purple?
I'm not finding any colors that really match match the beautiful red purple of the dress itself, except one very thin (sock weight) yarn made of silk & wool = too hot! (and expensive, cause I would need like 50 skeins of it since it is so thin!)
And- given the choice, would you go with cotton or acrylic? I've found two lovely yarns of roughly the same weight/gauge, and I think they would work equally well. The cotton is 100% cotton, the acrylic is 'microfiber' which is, of course, 100% acrylic, but not acrylic like Red Heart- very soft and smooth (and I find it very cool to the touch.) But, then cotton is supposed to be cool as well for wearing. They both have a lovely 'sheen' to them.

Since I love purple I would say err on the side of purple. I'm not sure I want to do gold just because I think that it will clash with my jewelry which is all silver. I've been told that i'm too detail oriented when it comes to clothing though. I don't want to completely dismiss the gold because I should be able to make it work. I guess a better question would be what type of gold? glitzy or matte? light or dark? could you send me a link to the type of gold you are thinking of?

I like the idea of cotton and even if it's an acrylic/cotton blend I still think that would work.

I liked a lot of the other colors like mixing shiraz and burnished gold or purple heart and aztec gold but I think that the golden plum is best and closer to color. So that's my final decision and i'm sticking to it.

By the way, if anyone ever says you aren't thorough I will personally knock them upside their heads. Thanks a million!
