Visas
So I thought I had everything I needed to send my visa application off to the embassy. Then I check my checklist and find that they don't accept personal checks. While logically I understand the reasons why personal checks wouldn't work for them, I am still illogically having a hissyfit. It's not hard to get a money order but what's the point of having a checking account and paying for checks if I can't use them when I need to! I am sooo very late applying for my visa that I am worried that I won't get it in time.
In addition to all of this I have been trying to talk to a PERSON at the embassy but only get animated systems or I'm on hold forever. This is seriously bureaucracy at it's best! So none of my stupid questions have been answered. I mean I want to confirm the address I'm sending my passport to. The embassy website is extremely vague about where I send my application and to whom. Getting a visa should not feel like exposing a covert government operation. I'm not sure how much sympathy I'm going to get but I just needed to vent a bit.
