It's been a while, so here I am. I hate writing about the things I've done, one because it's tedious, two because I can't tell if I sound arrogant. Kinda defeats the purpose of an LJ though, ironically. So here it goes.
Hawaii was _____________ (insert positive adjective here). There aren't enough words to describe it. I feel really at peace when I'm in such rural, gorgeous settings. There's nothing like seeing thousands of stars in the sky, the purest blue ocean and the rolling green hills all in one view.I was on the big island near Kona in the town I used to live in 13 years ago. The small town vibe was really different; everybody knows each other well, but there's not much opportunity to meet a bunch of different people. (Reading between the lines: nowhere with a batch of eye candy). I went there to work for a general contracter, but it turned out to be more observatory work than anything. But I'm not complaining, I actually learned a lot from it. I missed everyone, and I'm glad to be home now.
Girls nite out was fun yesterday. Yay for firepits! I love Carla, Sarah B, Summer, Jacey, Amanda, and Megan. I can't wait to see who was right about which one of us gets married first and pops out the first kid. Or maybe I can. There's still about a gallon of ice cream left for whoever wants it.
