a twisted land my darling child
where imperfection grows so wild
where rules and laws have little say
of telling us how we live each day
chaos rules here, a silent queen
a land where fairy-tales never wean
those ancient stories are still believed
their teachings of magick not ill-conceived
but whats the cost my darling dear
if you are of or do live here
It's not too much so do not fret
for here we all do accept
the price you ask as if you should
will be that your not understood
before you panic I'll ask you this
who understand you now,
it's just a silly wish
who really knows what lies inside
those thoughts and secrets that we hide
our souls are hidden behind the skin
for only few and your mind within
the complex workings of your mind
understanding you will not find
for no matter how we try to say such
No one will understand, they'll only know so much
they can learn tidbits or pieces or even a bit
but they'll never not ever know all of it
the secret lands of your mind
to each their own one of a kind
so now this is what you should do
think to yourself who understands you
the answer perhaps shocking to you my dear
might haunt your dreams or it just might leer
when it comes down to it, the illusions aside
from such truth there's no need to hide
so I shall tell you as you take my hands
I'll whisper it softly
"no one understands"
