Gifts!
I was sitting around today thinking on and on, since I can't escape it, I came to a memory of myself as a child maybe 7 years old. I was in a park with my siblings, playing in the sand with my yellow tonka truck. I remember a friend sitting with me, we talk, we laugh, we play, doing what kids do best! I was so overwhelmed with joy that I offered my yellow tonka truck to him. He asks, "Really!? I can have this!?" as he examins the yellow truck carefully. I respond, "Yes, it is yours now." He lifted his head with a great smile on his face and said, "Wow thanks!"
I look back at my memories today as a guide, or a lesson. In this particular memory I learned that the joy which I felt is worth more than material possessions, and the person with me during this experience was worth far more than my own emotions. To spread such happiness I gave of myself so that another, alike in kind, may experience the same.
