The aftermath

So art history is actually being taught a Ph.d who is very funny and thoughtful. On the other hand, her questions tended to have us attempt to define ntagibles such as 'beauty' or 'style' to little effect. I approve of thinking about the nature of such things, but I can't help but feel that asking the nature of something we all have defined in our mind in a nebulous and rather inexpressable manner was somehow...unfulfilling. Maybe it's just that that's not the sort of thing I wanted too learn.

So cool class. On the other hand, the end of June is going to SUCK. Not only is my final inextricably on the 30th, but my family is flying in earlier that week, and I will have to miss at least one day of class for my mom's wake (which is looking like the only day I will see my family on in June). For the record, since this is a four-week class. This means I will be missing all of Gothic art. All of it. Toto. Bad news, bears. At least the end of the class is medieval stuff, which I've absorbed a little tiny bit of.

Also, flirtatious girls are funny.
