Challenge #19 - Fanmix
I've been really away from lost_land but today was a really boring day at work, so I did Challenge 19: A Fanmix. (Come to think of it, I literally got paid for making this today = dreamed job, lol)
This is the very first time I made one.
Anyway, here's my

Whenever I listen to this song, the firing arrows scene comes straight to my mind. Personally, I think that from that moment, their trust, respect and caring for each other started. This is basically James saying that he can help her and he can protect her if she lets him.

I did't want to... Not so fast, boy
Slow, I don't wanna hurt the girl
And I get blinded when she opens the door
It's like looking in to the sun, you know
And I'm just blinkin', mumblin', starin' at my shoes
And she just looks at me and smiles
My personal Suliet canon says that James and Juliet were friends first. They played house accidentally because Horace thought they were a couple so he put them in the very same house, lol. So this song reflects how James started to feel about her, scared maybe that she'll end up hurt and amazed about the effect that Juliet had in him. I just can see this part of the song, like something that always happened like in the kitchen scene in LaFleur.

I think this song describes their feelings when they first kissed, mainly confusion and fear.

This song shows how they changed eachother's lifes, how it used to be and how it is now. It doesn't matter who they used to be, it matters who they are now.

This is James' POV while he sees Juliet lost in her own thoughts after she knew that Team Life Ruiners were back. Besides, Juliet tends to bite her lip when she's thoughtful so it fits.

She's gone to heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
The link is to a fanvid I made after "LA X". I cried so hard while doing it because the lyrics show what happened and what's going to happen. I think that James did good after he left the island, he left being James and not Sawyer as a promise to Juliet.

I do the things we did before
The plans I make still have you in them
As much as I hate to say it (because I really like James and I don't want him to suffer), I think he never recovered from Juliet's death. Somehow, whether still on the island or outside, everything he did included her, as I said before, like some sort of promise to her memory.

This song is about James' grief, asking himself what he will do after loosing everything he had built with Juliet by his side. It's about his mourning but also his hope to see her again.

And I don't feel like I am strong enough
'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
This is like the song I have in my mind whenever I watch the Suliet reunion in the finale. All they went through, how they rely on each other and how they they feel by themselves is shown in these lyrics.
An epic son for an epic couple. Period.

This song is really beautiful and it also fits for their reunion in a James' POV. After they "woke up" there were so many things to say but both decided to leave that for later and enjoy that moment (you know what I mean, lol) and for James, leaving the questions aside was alright because all he wanted was to be with her again outside heaven's door :')
