People always ask me why I have electrical tape over my laptop's camera, to which I reply: "I spend most of my time on the computer naked and I don't want some creepy guy to hack my camera, fap to my boobs, take screen caps of said boobs, and post them all over the internet."
Yes, I recognize this is unlikely. Yes, I know that the green light comes on when my camera is on. But I refuse to underestimate the desperation of lonely virginal computer geeks. What if one of them figures out how to use the camera without the light coming on? What if the light comes on and I don't even notice (which is far more likely). I have no idea how one would even go about hacking a camera, but where there's a 14 year old nerd looking for sex there is a way. So yeah, I keep tape over the camera.
