Falling Flat!

Oct 08, 2006 20:33

This weekend was a mix between relaxation and turmoil...while I spent the first half of it playing games and drawing with my pal Jenny, today I was supposed to study math.

I have a good excuse, really.

See, I'm supposed to have my first day of my new internship tomorrow (hallelujah!), but today when I went out to run some errands and pay bills, I discovered my back tire was flat. "No big deal," I thought, "I have a spare." Half an hour and two phone calls to my mom later the tire was still lodged firmly in place. Apparently there's some kind of sadistic security feature on the lug-nuts that makes them immobile without some sort of special adapter for the tire iron. Unfortunately I have no such thing, as the Camaro didn't come with it. Needless to say, I was unable to remove the tire at all.

Since I really need my car for tomorrow though, I made the trek to HEB to pick up some Fix-a-Flat (great stuff, buy it if you ever have a flat) and a tire guage. Thankfully this fixed the problem, but...all this walking and puzzling took up a huge part of my study time. :( I went and paid the bills and then finally stopped off at Sweet Eugene's for some nice studying. I totally love that place. I came back home when I got hungry though, and now you're caught up.

I'll be finishing what I can of my studying tonight and trying to get to bed early for my job tomorrow. I'm so excited/nervous! I hope I'm able to do well at it. *crosses fingers*

Jenny and I are making cute guys with horns...it just seemed like the thing to do, lol.

Crappy sketch animation (will hopefully finish with color later) of Goose getting waylaid by Eddie, Jenny's griffin.
