Peryl fan fiction ch. 25 !!!
In the next couple of weeks Meryl hadn’t heard anything from Grace or Louisa, she knew she needed to give them some space but she just couldn’t help it. Finally Grace called her “Mom, Lou and I have had some time to think, and well can you come to my apartment and we can talk, Lou is here too?” “Sure honey” Meryl said, she told Pierce where she was going and made record time getting to her daughter’s apartment. “Hi Mom!” Grace opened the door and let her in. She led her to the living room. “Mom are you thirsty or anything?” Grace asked looking down at her mother’s stomach. “No, I’m fine” she said Louisa entered the living room and they all sat down on the couch together. “Ok Mom” Grace began. “Before Henry had to leave to go back to L.A. Him, Mamie sat down and talked to Lou and me. They told us everything you had told them, and well after hearing what they said and sleeping on it for awhile we’ve both decided that although it may take us awhile to warm up to Pierce, we will support you.” She finished. Meryl had tears running down her face. “Are you both sure?” she asked. Looking directly at Louisa. “Yes mom, we are” Louisa answered “I’m sorry for blowing up like I did, I didn’t mean anything that I said, especially the part about you not being able to keep your legs closed.” ‘I really feel awful about that” Louisa said. Meryl wiped her tears away and got up and hugged her youngest. “Oh Lou, I’m so sorry about this, I really am.” she said kissing her on the cheek. Then Grace got up and hugged her mother too. “We love you mom and if he makes you happy then we’ll do our best to accept it.” Grace said. Meryl’s heart filled with happiness all of her children finally were ok with everything.
Within the next month Meryl and Don’s divorce was final and she was completely moved out of their home. They had managed to keep it completely under wraps about everything. They knew everyone would find out but they wanted to wait until after Meryl had the baby. During the last month they had told Dr. Johnson the truth about everything and he agreed with them 100% about keeping everything quiet until after the baby was born, so as not to stress Meryl out.

Another month went by and the press still didn’t know about Meryl and Pierce. They were going to the doctor for her 7th month check up! It was October and beginning to get chilly outside. “Well Meryl everything looks wonderful with the ultrasound” Dr. Johnson said. “Oh that’s so great!” Meryl said “Yes, your baby girl is doing beautifully.”
Just then a new nurse walked in. “Dr. Johnson here is Ms. Streep’s file.” she said handing it to him. “Thank you Nancy. Meryl, Pierce, this is my new nurse, she just moved from D.C.” he said “Hi, nice to meet you” Meryl and Pierce said. “You too, both of you” she said and she left the room. But she stayed just outside the door listening. “Now Meryl you have had to have C sections with all 4 of your other children and at your age I don’t want to take any chances, as soon as your almost nine months we are going to do a scheduled C section.” “Yes, I understand completely” Meryl said. Pierce agreed. “yes, whatever’s best for Meryl and our baby” “HUH!” Nancy gasped. “ I thought it was odd that Pierce was in there with her instead of her husband.” “Oh my gosh! She’s having his baby!!” Nancy thought “Well this story will make me a lot of money. She quickly pulled out her cell phone and recorded the remainder of the conversation. “Yes Pierce, having Meryl come in for a scheduled C section will ensure the safety of her and your baby.” “So when do you want to schedule it?” Meryl asked “Well You’ll be nine months at the end of December so I want you in here on December 1st. That will be about 2 weeks before your nine months so you should be fine.” “Thank you so much” Meryl said. Nancy stopped the recording and backed away from the door. Pierce left the office before Meryl did and she soon followed.
Dr. Johnson had told Nancy to put the file back and before she did she took pictures of it. She was going to the tabloids. “Just think of all the money!!!” she said to herself. She made an appointment with someone from the Newspapers for the next afternoon.
Meryl and Pierce got back to their apartment and set down. “Can you believe that in just a few short months we’ll have a child together?” Meryl said. “Yes I do, and I can’t wait for any of it!” Pierce said kissing her. Meryl’s phone rang and she answered it. “Hey Mames!” she said. “Hey mom, we are having a slumber party at my apartment tonight and your invited!!” Just me, you , Grace. Lou!!” Mamie said excitedly. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” Meryl said. “I’ll be over there in an hour” she hung up and filled Pierce in. “Honey, I think it’s great you really need to spend some time with them!” he said. “I’ll miss you though, I don’t know if I can sleep without you by my side anymore.” he said “Oh, you’ll be fine!” she teased. “Oh! Before you go they’ve decided on a release date for our movie” “Oh, when?” Meryl asked. “February 18th” He replied. “Great well we’ll talk about it when I get back!”
Exactly one hour later as promised Meryl showed up at Mamie’s apartment and was greeted by all 3 of her daughters. “I’ve missed you all so much!!” she said hugging them all at once. “Ok mom we have a full schedule, makeovers, movies and gossip!!” Mamie said. “I remember we used to do this when all of you were little!” Meryl gushed. “Yeah, well we’re bringing it back!” Louisa said. They spent the whole afternoon laughing and doing each other’s hair, makeup and nails. They all 3 worked on their mom just like they had when they were little.” “Well mom at least now you know your makeup will match and actually look good!” Grace joked. “Ok, we are all painting our nails baby pink!” Louisa announced. “In honor of the newest edition of our family!!!” “That’s Perfect!” Meryl agreed.
“Speaking of the baby mom how is everything going?” Mamie asked “It’s going great! “ Meryl said filling them in on everything. “Your going to let us baby sit right?” Grace asked. “Of course” Meryl giggled and as if on cue she felt a kick. “oh my gosh!! Girls feel quick!!” Meryl said they all 3 placed a hand on their mother’s stomach and felt their unborn sister kick again. “Oh wow, mom does that hurt?” Louisa asked. “No, sweetheart it doesn’t hurt at all!!!” Meryl gushed. They talked about the baby some more and then settled down with popcorn and ice cream to watch chick flicks. They watched the notebook, Legally Blonde, and Pretty Woman. They finally got dressed for bed. “Oh, how are we going to do sleeping arrangements?” Meryl asked. “Well mom none of us wanted to sleep in a different room and we all wanted to sleep with you so before you got here we… well just come look” Grace giggled. Mamie’s apartment had 2 bedrooms and They had taken the bed set out of the guestroom and set it up in Mamie’s room and pushed the 2 beds together. “Oh you really do think of everything don’t you?” Meryl asked giggling. They climbed into bed Meryl was in the middle with Mamie on one side and Grace on the other with Louisa right next to her. They stayed up talking awhile longer but finally drifted off to sleep.
Meryl finally got home at around three the next afternoon and walked into Pierce’s office and they talked about how everything. “I missed you” he said “I missed you too” she leaned over and kissed him. They talked about setting up the nursery for the baby and the release of their movie. They held each other and laughed and laughed.
Nancy met the reporter at a little café at 3:30 and gave him the audio and the pictures of the files. “This is amazing!” “you’ve uncovered the biggest story of my career!” The guy said “be sure you will be paid well!” Nancy left the meeting feeling smug. She was to pick up her check at the newspaper he worked for. Meanwhile the reporter went to work quickly and used connections to find out that Meryl and Don had gotten divorced and she was living with Pierce. He then quickly ran to the newspaper and the story was so big it was decided to be aired on the 6 o clock news.
Meryl and Pierce turned on the T.V. and sat down they were flipping through the channels only to find themselves plastered all over the screen. “This is breaking news folks, it has been confirmed that Meryl Streep is not pregnant with Don Gummer’s baby in fact the 2 are no longer even married. Meryl Streep is pregnant with Pierce Brosnan’s baby which can only mean that she had to have had the affair around the time they filmed their current movie due out in February…” Meryl in Pierce sat there frozen in place…….
