Conan O'Brien. I was not sure about you when you started up your time on the Tonight Show. However, after a few shows, I realized that you were a complete and utter dork, which is beautiful. Wonderfully geeky, lovably lanky, with a weird sense of humor that suited me most greatly. I gave a hearty cry of joy when you danced around, flailing those long legs, shaking those hips or doing that funny squat walk that almost made you look like you were a normal height. I delighted in your referencing of comics, obscure and horrible movies, and the internet itself. I have come to mimic your hand signs for various personalities and nerdy stereotypes. You were a host that felt more like you were in on all those little goofy things that I consider winning points among my circles. Yes, I am absolutely talking about the fact you did a re-dub of an anime. You won my nerdy, otaku heart forever and ever at that very moment. Oh, and of course the whole Cody Devereaux thing was a scream. The only thing that I regret was not starting to watch you sooner, back when you were on Late Night.
Thank you Mr. O'Brien, for coming across in your last show with dignity and a smile. I got a bit teary eyed there at the end. And for someone who I was rather indifferent about at first, I cannot but pray to see your wonderful antics on tv again in the future. I wish you and your entire crew only the best and thank you over and over for making me laugh, sometimes when I did not feel very much like laughing. I am going to miss the fun. Because above all else, you made a show that was fun.
