Alright, its been a while...once again...it seems to me that I have been unusually busy lately. I am trying to be a good student and keep up with all the reading and work for my classes, also I joined the riding team at school so i've got lessons and meetings every week to go to. Also i've been making an attempt at having a social life on top of all this.
I've been a little distracted lately. I am starting to think very seriously about what schools I want to apply for next fall. It won't be too hard to decide on which schools I like, the hard thing will be getting into them. Also I need to pick a focus for my career, basically I need to decide what I want to do with the rest of my life, easy right?
Its gonna take some serious contemplation, but hopefully by the end of next summer I will know what I want to do for a living, as always suggestions are always welcome.
Last week Vicky came to visit and she and I drove down to Providence to see Breaking Benjamin. It was probably the best show I have ever been to. We went to a club called Diesel (formally the strand) and there just happened to be a blizzard that night. We drove from NH to RI in some serious snow, then when we got to the club we got in line and braved the storm for about 40 minutes waiting for them to open the doors, when they finally did I couldn't feel anything and I was covered in snow. But it was definitaly worth it :)
The two opening bands were awesome, they were The Exies and Theory of Dead Man. Both put on an awesome show, i was very impressed. Then it was time for Ben. They played SUCH a good show, they have so much energy and they play SO good live. Also, the new drummer was really good, i was worried it wasn't gonna be the same with a different drummer, but he is very talented.
The high-light of the night was at the end, they played the end of their set, bowed and walked off, but as usual the entire audience screamed for about another 10 minutes "ONE MORE SONG". Then, Ben came back, alone. He played "Rain" all by himself and it was sooooo freakin awesome, i was like dying by this point I was so hungry and tired but I didn't care, he was amazing. Then the rest of the band came back on the stage and they played "shallow bay" and dedicated it to the members of the web site [i've been a member for a few months now :)] After the encore Ben threw the guitar pick that he played this encore with and then stepped down into the audience, so naturally I launched myself off the platform I had been standing on all night and dove towards the pick [Ben was already being attacked so I couldn't get to him :(] So i shoved about 345545 people out of the way, caught sight of where the pick had landed and dove for it, then this beast of a man stomps his size 18 work boot on it and tries to slide it out of my reach, despite how tired I was from standing up and screaming my lungs out for 4 hours I still had the energy to lift this man off the pick and grab the damn thing right from under his foot. The look on his face was priceless, I don't think he anticipated me being able to lift his 300 pound leg while he was putting all his force on it trying to prevent me from claiming the pick, but I once again emerged victorious! :):):)
Well right now I happen to be on Spring Break in California, but instead of making this entry stupidly long I will just give you guys an update when its all over with, thats all for now.
