The Weeks Ahead

Jan 10, 2010 02:10

Do you ever have that feeling, whenever you think ahead to the coming days, that you're going to forget what it feels like to sleep? Yes, well, I have that feeling right now. And, sure, you could argue that this feeling is probably going to be my fault, and that this feeling could be completely avoided but ... Yeah, you'd probably win that argument.

The first thing about next week starts tomorrow with the project that is due Monday for English. It's this stupid project about the history of the English language and how it relates to Shakespeare, and it's totally dumb. I have to do a powerpoint - blah - for it, and I'm so not looking forward to it. Which is why I'm waiting, like always, till ten o'clock at night to start it. Brilliant, no?

And then the main thing about next week is EOCs. For those of you that don't live in my area, EOC stands for End of Course tests, and they are brutal, stupid, and completely worthless. They take four hours to take, and I hate them. We have only Monday left to review, and then on Tuesday I take the band EOC (I know, like, WTFruitcake? How can you take a band EOC? Well, folks, it can be done.) and the health EOC; both of which I'll probably fail. Then, on Wednesday, I get to take the math EOC - AKA The Test of Doom. I hate geometry, possibly more than anything else on this green earth, and I just know that test is going to kill me. Did I mention it's like, 30% of the final grade?

Thursday is my last test, and probably the easiest one: English. Yes, I'm an EnglishGeek. Can I help it if I understand how sentences fit together? I want to be an editor, dangit! I have to be nerdy; it's a condition.

Anyway, so, then I get Friday off (Everyone say it with me: YAYYYYYY.) and my best friend (for those of you that are born on a different planet; Arianna) is coming over so that we can head off to the beach. Four days of utter excitement and total fun. It's really the only thing that's getting me through this week. And then I have Tuesday off too - which I shall spend with my other best friend, Sourball - so that'll be nice. That Wednesday (the 20th, for those of you are that trying to keep up) is the only day I have to go to school, the other two days being teacher workdays. And then - AND THEN - Friday is registration for Pottersworld!!! How freaking exciting. Jessica Wood is the name of my character, and she's already pretty intense. I luff her. *snuggles charrie*

I've been practicing my banner-making-skillz because I have nothing better to do; the latest banner being: s190.photobucket.com/albums/z177/crazii_girl_94/. Yeah it sucks, but then I only started yesterday. So, as Lizzy says, it's pretty amazing for someone of my skill. If I do say so myself. (And I didn't - Lizzy said it).

That's basically the entire month of January for you, so if I don't post again during this time, you'll know why. EOCs, beach, new classes, banners, friends, and Pottersworld: My life.

ciao!
