Characters: Sei, Moichi, Toko.
Prompt: 31_days, 31 January 2006. [If I could live with you]
Sei watches Moichi and Toko interact, move around each other; Moichi always knows where to step, where to place his hands, where to set down things in the small apartment, and if he slips, Toko is there to correct it: she catches his hand a second before it lands to close to the stove; Sei watches them, and thinks, with something in his heart he doesn't think about that, that it should be him in Toko's shoes.

Characters: Shuuji, Akira, Nobuta.
Prompt: 31_days, 15 October 2006. things I will regret
There is a list, growing each day, in the back of his mind; it's got a title and little lines, all written on with his scrawling handwriting, and if he closes his eyes he can see it before him, as though written; he likes the list: it's neat and precise and a list he'll easily forget by the time high school is over. But when Nobuta comes in and Akira follows and they both disrupt his life, the list changes: it's no longer so easy to follow, so neat and precise, and the title is scratched out and lines drawn through everything. And it changes still again, and again, until he's forgotten the original title and the original point of the list.
By the time he's sitting on the beach with Akira, thinking about Nobuta with a letter clutched in his hands, he can't remember the number of times he's had to change the list growing in his mind; the only thing that matters is the current list and the single item on there: not having found these friends sooner.

Characters: Makino, Tsubaki.
Prompt: 31_days, 20 April 2007: Sisters
Makino didn't have any sisters; Yuki was the closest thing to a sister she had, and their relationship was different than what she imagined a sisterly-sibling bond would be. She doesn't know how to take Tsubaki, who flies halfway across the world when Tsukasa needs her, and who smiles at Makino and welcomes her to the family, without concern for what anyone might think. She might not want Domyouji, or at least that's what she prefers to think, but she thinks that maybe, it wouldn't be so bad, not if Tsubaki is going to be her sister.

Fandom: Nobuta Wo Produce
Characters: Shuuji, Akira, Nobuta.
Prompt: 31_days, 16 June 2008: - Practically perfect in every way
Shuuji knows the truth: he's a big, huge fake: fake smiles, fake laughter, fake friends. But it's okay, because no one else knows the truth and he comes across as something close to perfect: the perfect guy, causing no waves while still standing out, with the perfect (not)girlfriend and the great friends and the perfect amount of charm. He knows the school, inside and out, and how his (not)friends think and he knows, he knows, if anyone can make Nobuta perfect, he can.
He doesn't know why Akira's in on it, but it doesn't matter, as long as he doesn't get in the way, and Shuuji is free to make Nobuta as popular as possible.
(But secretly, he despairs: He doesn't expect it to work, because he's not that amazing, and Nobuta is a tough challenge, and Shuuji never expected high school to be a tough challenge. He can do it though, he knows he can.)

Fandom: Ace wo Nerae
Characters: Hiromi, Reika.
Prompt: 31_days, 17 February 2006: unbound hair
Reika has long hair; not too long, but longer than Hiromi's, longer than most girls even, especially ones involved in sports; and although Reika is no longer involved in sports, directly, she's always had longer hair. It tumbles over her shoulders in unbound waves, and Hiromi yearns to reach out, wrap one of those loose strands around her finger, maybe pull Reika closer - and she breaks off there, her face flushing, and she quickly finishes pulling on her shoes.
"Thank you for the game, Och-" and she breaks off then, a slightly embarrassed smile on her lips. Even if she's a world-famous ranking tennis player, Ryuzaki Reika will always be her idol -"Ryu- Reika, I mean. Thank you." She's fumbling her words and it makes her feel like an uncomfortable, awkward teenager again.
"It's always a pleasure to play you, Hiromi," Reika says, and smiles at her, and Hiromi can feel the tension curl in her belly. She shouldn't be feeling like that, because Todo is waiting for her at home, with his kind hands and soft kisses, but Hiromi can't help, can't stop.
Years have passed, but still she burns for Reika.
