-Suikoden V-
Haven't touched the Suikoden series since 3. So not helped by bad reviews for Tactics and 4. Anyway, just got Suikoden V and played a bit. :DD
Suikoden V: First Thoughts
The Senses Assaulted...
•The character graphics= WOW! I am in LOVE with their designs(has always been since 1)! Dude the prince is teh HAWTNESS! (too girly yeah but HAWT!) The other men however do look like...MEN.oOo Yes, a part of me is thankful!
•The other graphics= It's just like playing a PS1 game. *____*;;;; How can this be?! Fixed camera(with so limited controls), bland background, exceedingly repetitive NPC designs. *A*; OMG LAZY? (Oh well, Konami isn't notorious for beautiful RPGs anyway...still I kinda hoped you know..for this installment...)
•Sounds: Voice acting are decent and actually not bad. The music though doesn't strike me at all(just yet...). :P
Then you run around in circles...
•Some areas are ridiculously huge! I mean it should be 'rewarding' to those who chose to explore but the bland area design isn't fun at all and I just find it really literally exhausting to always end up in dead-ends that I just want to skip going around and just get to the point, something I'm not used to while playing RPGs.
•Loading time sucks!!! Most esp. the transition to fight screen. *A*;;;;(But, still, nothing like Magna Carta's....)
•Gameplay is old-school, and as a Suikoden-player from before no complaints. Thus its luv!~~♥
•NPC scripts are sometimes so long...but if you want to know their Queendom's history then they are the way to go. -A-;;; Sometimes I feel SCARED of talking to them just cuz they babble on and on and on...(hey dun got much gametime...) but some are just funny. XD (horny grannies and ghei kids?!)
And the fairytale goes of cruel Queens and obsessive sisters...
•The gem of the series= its story. 3 hours into the game and already too much politics to keep a sociologist happy. :3 Of course, I've gotten nowhere past the beginning so I've barely scratched the story..so what am I doing here?!...*runs off to play more*
I named the prince Shinn(but I also wanted "WTF!" D:...coz well. it's funny.XD) and tried to make him as an ass as possible but with his own sense justice...yep for his namesake!..XDDD and it doesn't suit the OVERLY kind looking prince at all! ~A~ LOL But I try to make him nice to his sis too and a few other people. O_o And what's funny is even if he's such an ass he gets away with it because he's a royalty. FOOLS. >D LOL!
