I had my first day of summer classes today. It actually wasn't bad, it is the first day and all, but it will be going downhill at top speed. The teacher seemed like a nice and friendly guy, he made a few jokes and attempted to lighten the mood a bit. But, as we all have witnessed, a good person does not always make for a good teacher. He gave us a "syllabus" of sorts.
Test 1: 5/20
Test 2: 6/3
Test 3: 6/10
Term Paper: 6/19
Final: 6/26
That's just lecture. And if you haven't noticed yet, that's basically a test every week. What makes it super bad is that my first test is the day after I move. Do you know how crazy that's going to be?!? And he didn't say anything about dropping any tests. Then there's lab, which I will have tomorrow. He told us that our lab instructor will require us to turn in reports and we will have an exam in lab too. Another added bad thing is that I will have to spend a little under $200 just for this course alone for textbooks!
Now do we see why I am going to shoot myself? Gah!
For a little interlude, let me show everyone what I learned today:
2 + 2 = 4
2 apples + 2 apples = 4 apples
2 apples + 2 oranges = ?
I am not kidding you! Those are actually part of my notes. I actually took about 2 pages of notes which isn't much considering that we didn't really learn anything yet. It's simple so far but I know it's going to get worse. Chemistry number two come on down! ::groans::
