So not into Holy Week this year.
Palm Sunday was fun- we were at what will be our little mission parish, which usually has about 20 attendees per Sunday, but was almost filled due to two baptisms (both adults). We read the gospel lesson part by part- Dana was Pontius Pilate and I was Judas.
Friday is Dana's appt. with a neurosurgeon to talk about last week's MRI results. How auspicious that it will be on Good Friday. Nobody's given something resembling a diagnosis yet, strangely, but there is definitely a lump pressing on her optic nerve, enlarged lymph nodes, and high white blood cell count. So we are definitely jumping ahead of ourselves to the scary c-word...it should be noted that two of my grandparents died of brain tumors (one benign, one malignant), so I can make up pretty realistic scenarios of possibilities that might come next...we both are definitely really emotional lately.
My parents may be in town for Easter and with us at Saint Mark's, and my stepdaughter Gen will be arriving on Saturday for Spring Break week.
Packing and moving has been going well...we've already moved a lot of nonessentials to our storage unit.
We went to two events over the weekend and Dana took photos for my family's newspaper. It made me very happy. I hope it works out for her to do stuff like that from time to time.
