Avoid a grasping, controlling, mean form of love in which you feel betrayal at what the "loved" one does outside what you think they should do. Invest rather in True Love. Then, even if the love is shunned by the loved one, it will not matter. You will still love them with no thought or desire of it ever being returned. If you can love without the expectation of requited love, then you have found True Love.
