What did you want to be when you were a kid? What do you think of that choice now?
Here's mine: I wanted to be a Marine Biologist. Mostly because I loved everything in the ocean....sea life of all kinds, no matter how icky or weird, I found beautiful and fascinating. I won a prize on a snorkel trip in Hawaii because I could correctly pronounce the state fish (the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a, as it happens! Try saying that 5 times fast!) I stopped pursuing this as a career when I realized I didn't care much for biology. Alas.
