Joining the flock (spoiler free)
Ok, I finally finished HP7 last night...I meant to read a chapter or two and wound up reading the whole damn book.
My conclusion? I loved it. I realize this makes me uncool, or whatever - but I didn't have any real issues with the book. I liked the cliches, I liked the outcome, I liked what she did with all the characters, I cried at the deaths. I was mostly satisfied with the ending, would have liked more (where did everyone end up?) - but that may be because I was sad the book was over.
I'm planning to reread it this weekend. And even though I feel like I've gotten caught up in the hype more than I expected to, I can honestly say that's been one of my favorite book reading experiences. I can't think of another book printed in my lifetime that's been so universal. It's kind of like watching the Olympics.
