I like heirloom tomatoes, I like most heirloom veggies. I can't get cukes to grow at all! Just not happy in my garden, but I might try to container plant some cukes and patty pan squash. Damn, didn't I just say I wasn't going to grow nonsense? I want to grow some micro greens too, they are excellent container plants. The joints unfortunately are too damaged for natural solutions, I have been told point blank by both rheumatologist and orthopedic doc that I need them replaced and just as quickly told by both I'm too young. So I hobble along and use crutches when I need to, or I just don't leave the house. If I can't even stand long enough to cook dinner, I guess I don't need to be running round. But it sucks the fun out of grocery shopping! No more browsing and walking up and down each aisle :( I have some good meds for breakthrough pain, but take it cautiously. So my solution here lately is to try to lose more weight, but I could be below weight and they would still hurt since I am bone on bone. But hey, I'd be really skinny! My latest obsession is scones, authentic recipe ones, currant, buttermilk, with clotted cream and jam, etc. They do freeze well unbaked. Mark likes when I get on these kinds of obsessions!
Aaah, i didn't realize the extent of the knee damage. Boo. :\ ~hug~
Ooooh, scones.. i have never tried to make those yet. I am enjoying Artisan Bread in five minutes a day, (artisanbreadinfive.com) and making various citrus curds to spread on fresh baked bread. i like lime and grapefruit curd the best so far, and they are also delicious in combination with a good seedless blackberry jam.. mmm.
