so. my computer charger is about to die. so im going to barely use my comp from now on. that means less pictures and less updates. oh well!
but life is peachy here. Italy was awesome... including both Rome and Padova where I hung out with Allie for two days. The traveling between places sucked but that rest was fantastic.
We were in Rome for Halloween... so it was interesting to say the least. It´s great how an American tradition has made its way into Europe. Little kids in witch costumes were running around all the piazzas asking for candy. it was great. It was raining but that didnt stop us. We ate delicious pizza and pasta, enjoyed the touristy stuff, and indulged ourselves in the street venders. It was fun.
Our hostel was interesting as well. It´s called the Camping Village Roma.. so it was sort of a campground. You could either rent our a tent which includes actual beds... or a bungalow with some beds and a toilet. We took the bungalow... but it was sooo tiny! But we managed fine. For 15 euro we didn´t expect anything else. The place had its on market... restaurant.. pub/bar thing.. swimming pool and volleyball courts. Of course it was raining so we didnt go to the swimming pool volleyball courts. We did find our way to the pub where we had one drink and watched the Real Madrid/Valencia game on tv. We made friends with the bartender also. He asked us where we're all from... Joanna says Ecuador, Aneta says Poland, so I´m in between two international kids... so i´m like Argentina! But he didnt believe me. and for the rest of the night called me a mentirosa. because he apparently was Argentinean. Well because he liked us so much, he gave us 4 girls a free shooter of some deliciousness. So all in all. Rome was fun.
The train up to Padova was beautiful too. The leaves are begining to change, so it´s gorgeous. You know we dont see the changing of the seasons in California so it´s nuts. The leaves are all yellow, red, and green and it´s so pretty. Padova is a cute little town. Apparently it was the 2nd college ever in Europe... Galileo studied there... has the 2nd biggest piazza in the world.. 2nd to China. It was pretty. Good food. And an interesting drink... a spritz has some like wine.. soda water.. and i forget what else. but tasty. it's orange. i like granada's tinto de veranos better :) haha. and Allie comes to see me the 15 of November. Yyyyaayyyy.
so now im back in Granada. taking my classes. I have a midterm next monday in my translation class. booo. and he said it would be helpful for the exam to watch the movie El Orfanato.... the orphanage. it's a scary movie. uh no thanks? especially because i doubt anyone else will see it with me. llammmeee.
my next trip is Barcelona to see a soccer game.. Barcelona vs. Recreativo. I can't wwaaiiittt!! And we dont have to pay for lodging because Joanna has an uncle/cousin there who said he'd house us. Score!
hehe and Sam ignores the fact that I exist. Sarah(my roommate) and I are standing by her class and we're chatting and he comes out of the bathroom... whizzes right by us without a second glance. and he saw me because i was right in his line of vision. Lame-o! haha.
ok adios!
