Mommy, how do I write comedy?

Don't tell the reader too much, dear. "Yelling and thrashing and beating the giant shark over the head with the surfboards" and "picking bits of surfboard out of his hair" should just about do it.

And a punch line, of course. (Two if you count the knives.)
