Cadbury Factory tour this past monday. Oh my goodness. Everything smelled of delicious chocolate. There were thirteen of us who went. We got to sport hair nets as we were detailed the history of the factory while being given free samples fresh off the presses. Did you know that Australia is the fourth largest consumer of chocolate in the world (behind Switzerland, England, and Germany)? That this one factory alone makes 400,000 bars a day and, in the end, 95% of what Cadbury makes will never even leave Australia? This one, however, blows my mind: Australia is the world's largest consumer of chocolate Easter eggs. In order to meet this huge demand there is a Cadbury Factory in Victoria that makes chocolate eggs 24 hours a day for 11 months of the year, just to supply the country for Easter Sunday! Anyway, came home with a bag of samples and "seconds". The "seconds" (which are either underweight or slightly flawed) are sold at a discount at the factory shop. It's so hard to concentrate when chocolate is lurking in the room.
Happy early 21st to Adrienne! Try to do something fun, rather than studying for exams. Hope everyone else is ready to start a rocking summer. Can't wait to see you all again!
