Summary: Nia and Shayna have reasons for letting Reginald go before WrestleMania 37.
Reginald didn't get to go inside the entrance set aside for talent at Raymond James Stadium. Nia, in a formal dress, and Shayna, in a red tuxedo, met him at the entrance. Nia in a dress was one thing, but he had never seen Shayna wear anything but her leather jackets, screened t-shirts, and skinny jeans or her ring gear. Reginald looked at Shayna's tuxedo before quietly judging his green tuxedo and his formal black slippers.
"I know this looks bad, Reggie," Nia said, "but it was either this or calling you after the SmackDown taping. We chose to do this instead. I loved our 'situationship.'"
"Wait, loved?"
"Yes, Reggie, loved. You've also helped us fend off every girl in the locker room that wants to take our titles. But I want out of our situationship."
"To be fair, you've also been a hinderance at times," Shayna said. "I shouldn't have to help hold you still to help Nia in the ring like what happened on the last episode of Raw we taped."
"You never liked me, Shayna."
Shayna shrugged. "And?"
"Shayna and I want to go back to the way it was before we met you. So not only is our situationship over, we're no longer retaining your services."
"We really think we should handle this Tag Team Turmoil thing on our own. We have to put the locker room on notice by ourselves. Also we have some issues with Tamina. Well, it's mostly Nia's issues with Tamina, but I'm involved a little bit."
"We didn't want you to go all the way home. We comped you some tickets for both nights of the show. The seats are somewhere in 100 level." Nia pointed at a line of people waiting to get into Raymond James Stadium. "You can pick up your tickets in that line over there. You might be hanging out with cardboard cutouts. And you might want to get a poncho from the stadium somewhere because we can't provide you rain protection.
"So that's it?"
"Promise us one thing. You're so much better than Carmella. Don't ever become her sommelier again."
Reginald nodded. "I will." A pause. "May I have one more hug before I go?"
"No--"
"Hush, Shayna. Yes, you can have one last hug before you go."
Nia hugged Reginald. Shayna threw up her hands in exasperation.
"Goodbye, Reginald," Nia said.
"Yeah, goodbye, Reginald."
Reginald walked away from the WrestleMania talent entrance.
"Shayna, you didn't have to treat Reginald like that."
"I treat everyone like that because I don't like most everyone. Except for you. I like you."
"It took you a while to like me."
"It did take me fighting a few referees and officials, but I like you now."
Nia tugged at the collar of Shayna's suit. "But can we talk about your suit, though? I had no idea you looked so cute in a suit."
"Making WrestleMania call time is the most formal thing I've done in the WWE. Why show up in a suit for Raw and SmackDown if you don't have to?"
"If I knew, I would've bought you a suit when I bought Reginald a suit."
"I would've gotten a new suit at that formal wear store if you asked me, but you were too busy flirting with Reginald!"
Nia smoothed out Shayna's collar. "That's right. I'm sorry. We can go formal wear shopping sometime in the future. My treat."
"Thank you, Nia," Shayna whispered, as if she was afraid someone would see through her facade. She cleared her throat. "We should go back inside and do whatever we're supposed to be doing before night one."
Nia nodded. "Let's go."
