Costuming Update
I just realized we only have a little over a month until DragonCon. EEK!
So I've almost finished foliating madame Heap's skirt, and I got the fabric to do the bodice of it. Not sure what I'll use for a veil yet, but it will probably be some scrap gauze that I already have lying around. My beta-test banana peel is prepared and clamped, waiting for the glue to dry. I have the stick for the opera glasses sanded and ready to paint as soon as I have a moment, and I've got the blank mask to start altering as soon as I pick up some Elmers' for the paper mache.
I think Madame Trash Heap is the only new costume I'll be wearing this year. I'll trot out Zatanna a few times, and probably my Lorelei the Barbarian leathers, and also Mrs. Giddy, my steampunk galley-mistress, though I doubt I'll have time to bake scones again. I'll just need to go thrifting to make sure the rest of a tea set fits in my bustle's secret compartments.
