Those con pics I promised (not dial-up friendly, behind the cut)

Jul 19, 2005 12:38

So I'm loading these pictures into my Photobucket account and I got to thinking, how much longer before this thing craps out? I mean, I'm already hosting 250+ pictures on there and I'm sure there's a bandwidth limit.

Well enjoy these while they still last.

A funny thing about these. I still haven't developed my pics from last year's Con. Pretty much goes to show you the superiority of shooting digital. Neh..

Yep, he's back... this time with a modified costume. And to think I remember the days when he just had the hair and glasses and that was it.

Pic from the Scanner Darkly panel. The "man" beside Chris Jennings is an AI of Philip K. Dick, the author of A Scanner Darkly. He was supposed to be able to field questions himself, but that ovbiously didn't work, though the results were HI-fuckin'-LARIOUS.

Lee in his Star Fleet uniform. After a while, I had a preoccupation with finding things that were Star Wars for him to pose with, seeing as it was a Star Wars year and everything was themed so. That and the non-geek folk tend to cross the two.

Jhonen Vasquez signing someone's copy of JTHM. This is the only pic I could get of him, but I did see him again at the Spike and Mike screening. I didn't want to accost him with my camera seeing as I didn't want to bother him when he was just being a regular schmoo like the rest of us, and what's more it's kinda tacky to chase down people with a camera like that. Funny I say that as I seem to do all the time.

Lots of random cosplayers.

Representative for Nintendo's booth. Kinda creepy at first.

Again with the putting Lee with random Star Wars folk.

A scene set up from the upcoming Tim Burton film Corpse Bride.

Lee and I went to see this troop of Trekkies do a fan performance of the show. All of them were Klingon cosplayers and the story goes that they invaded a Borg vessel only to discover that the Borg were trying to make all Klingons into Borg. So this is why these Borg have the Klingon brow.

So here's Lee with "47 of Something" and another random Borg Klingon.

Seeing as Borg like to make everything Borg, it was only befitting that one took a Sailor Moon doll that was sitting on the stage and turn it to Sailor Borg. Really cute, actually.

The Lycan/Vampire mix from Underworld, also a model for the sequel seeing as there'll be more for that one.

Life-size model of the T-800.

Blurry pic of me getting a comic signed by Bruce Campbell. One of his reps took the picture for me.

Lee as Zabuza, or otherwise Lee as Zabuza in a Star Fleet uniform.
