happy rainy day
Well! Let's see... what interesting things have happened to me... well, for one, I fell in the mud and bruised my knee yesterday! But it's not bad at all, and it's just a skin thing. It doesn't even hurt when I walk. It was embarrassing, though, even though Davy was the only one there. I had a short skirt (for me, a short skirt is at my knees) on, and I pretty much did the splits! :)
Um... I haven't found out any of my recent test grades yet... but oh man! Yesterday was the Alpha Mu Gamma (foreign language honor society) induction ceremony, and it was fun! I was the vice president last year, and so I was the marshall for the ceremony and I got to lead around all the new inductees. And there was free food after the ceremony, and it was all fancy and made me feel rich. :)
But that's not the best part. Zach, our president for the past year, is graduating, so I decided I'd run for president. Davy decided to nominate me (someone has to, and Dr. Campana already had a few he needed to nominate), but then, when it came time and we asked for nominees, Dr. Evans (current German teacher) nominated Davy for President! Hah! Davy didn't even want an office. And so Davy still nominated me, and the vote was between us two only, because the none of the inductees wanted the highest office. HAH! It was so hilarious when we had to go stand out in the hall together while they were voting.
So ANYWAY, they all decided to make the top votes person the president, and the bottom votes person the vice president. So I got pres, and Davy got vice pres! How funny! I think it's great... it's gotta be a moment in history when an engaged couple takes to the high ranks of the foreign language department together. :) So anyway, he's happy too. He doesn't wanna do all the talking anyway, and I don't mind at all. And I wanna do a lot with the society this year... I really plan to get involved. Especially with exposing the elementary+ kids in this area to foreign languages... ahhh, the possibilities.... BWAHAHAHAHAAAA!
ahem.
Anyway, It's been a great day. I'm just glad it's finally Friday and I'm done with classes, and when I get home I get to CLEAN!!! Because Daddy Dave is coming over in the afternoon. And yes, I am excited about cleaning... because I never get to do it and I miss it a lot. Davy always does everything, and I want to clean, darn-it. :) I especially can't wait to clean the bathtub... you see, it is actually much more enjoyable whenever you are cleaning something that is YOURS... something that is dirty only from you. Make sense?
hmmm... can't think of much else. It's rainy. And a little cold. But I did find 2 four-leaf clovers today... I think it's the earliest in the year I've ever found one, actually. So that's cool.

(ahh... it feels so good to write that! Alpha Mu Gamma is really my only accomplishment right now, other than having a wonderful apartment, an adorable, sweet cat, and a beautiful, amazing fiance)
