Man, Bekah and Thomas came over last night... they stayed for a long time, too. It was such a blast... I can't express how much I appreciate them coming. It was so nice to have visitors. We talked and laughed so much. It's been a while, and it just felt so good.
I had never REALLY met Thomas, but he was so funny. Very charismatic and easy to get along with right away. They seemed to really like Davy, too... I'm so glad we all clicked alright. Davy seemed to enjoy himself as much as an extreme introvert can. I think he probably needed it, too... even though he doesn't like socializing (and sometimes it takes him a while to recouperate), when we actually do it, he seems to really like getting in on the conversations a bit.
I am so glad I can have a break from it all now. I have a lot of reading to do for school, but that's not bad, and I'm mostly just wanting to get it done so that I won't have to do it last minute once school starts back. I've also got some German and an essay to work on, but it doesn't seem that big of a deal since I've got a week. It's not much more homework than I would have on a normal weekend. So that's awesome.
But what I'm really looking forward to doing on this break is spending some more time just hanging out with Davy, napping, and quilting. Right now I've been working on just reinforcing my clover quilt (#1) with quilting... some of its seams began coming apart, so I thought I should probably preserve it a little better before we begin using it again. After than, I'm really looking forward to putting Davy's quilt (#2) layers together and begin quilting it. I'll also start piecing together my quilt #3. I haven't even finished cutting the pieces out yet. I always like to have 2 quilts going at once... one that's in its finishing stages (layers and quilting), and one that I'm just starting (piecing). I'm so excited. But right now, my goal is ONLY the clover quilt. It's my absolute top priority... it means a lot to me and I can't let it start coming apart.
Hmm... guess I'll get on to my history or brit lit... I'll get a head start on my break's homework so I'll have more time to relax later.
I'm so happy.
