FINALS
Ugh, so finals week is always stressful. However, reading manga and webcomics in between doing work seems to help.
Also, I've started drawing again. It's definitely something that can relieve my stress and make me forget about the world for a little bit. I'm excited. I think the only time I really draw, though, is when I'm reading manga or comics or watching anime, cuz I used to draw all the time in middle and upper school, and that's when I was watching anime and reading manga literally ALL THE TIME. We even shanghai'd a random locker in the English building and kept a stock of manga in it for people to borrow at school. It was awesome. ^.^
I miss the Asian Culture club at my school. Yes, we watched anime and read manga, but we also watched some baller Asian films like Raise the Red Lantern and would have Asian food days during lunch. My faves were the Filipino/South Pacific and Indian days, because I'd never really had the more traditional foods that are common to those cultures, aside from things like curry. Oh my god, it was so good! I remember once I tried to make onigiri...it worked out okay. ^.^;
Anyway, I'm basically just reminiscing for no reason. Yes, there's always Yachting Club, but I'd rather not get made fun of. Plus, Yachting really only deals with the "otaku" type stuff in Asian culture. I like ALL of it. But, I'm not any type of Asian, so I can't really join the Chinese club or the Japanese club, etc etc. Mostly because a) I don't speak the language(s) and b) I'm not Asian (again) and they kind of glare at you hardcore if you try to join. Because, yes, Guilford is SOOOO accepting and welcoming. Also, because I'm not Native American, I can't join the Native American club (I asked), and because I'm not black, I can't join BUS (though, that one makes more sense, because it does have the name BLACKS Unifying Society, as opposed to people). Sorry, mini-rant there.
Also, I'm pretty sure if I tried to start an Asian Culture Club, it'd get shot down, because of things like Yachting, and I don't want to end up with a cock-fight like what happened with Gaming and Yachting. That would suck. Anyway, that's long enough for now. ^.^
