I locked myself out of my house. Therefore, I am at the library. Therefore, I have time to actually update this thing.
My lack of updatingness is due to living in a house which just got internet recently, but it's wireless, and I don't have a card. I was borrowing one for a while, but no more. (Valor, someone took it out of my computer, and when I put it back in it didn't work anymore! Help!)
And being that I am lazy, taking my computer downstairs and hooking it up is just too much trouble!
I waste little time online, though! Which is good. Very good. Why? Because I am ridiculously busy this quarter with:
I am taking Spanish 102, 3 years after 101. Kicking my ass, completely.
History is fairly easy. It's stuff I have learned before, but the reading load is high.
Mentoring for a Freshman level class is alright, but it's just another thing that takes up time.
I got the part of Laura in Tennesse Williams' The Glass Menagerie, our Fall production. You should all come see it. Depending on which night you come, you could meet the subject of the next section of this entry:
Or man. Whatever. I am have been dating someone for the last 2 months. His name is Tom. He works at the museum (save the "fishing off the company pier jokes. We work in different departments ;P). He is great. I am going to Birmingham in January to meet his parents. My mother is worried that we are secretly engaged. We are not. He paints, plays the gee-tar, volunteers doing illustrations for Real Change, studied Philosophy, is looking to go back and get his masters, has great taste in music, and own the Wallace and Gromit videos. He is 33, which is a slight source of consternation to my mother, but I think she has gotten over it. I could probably ramble on about him for a good while longer, but I will spare you my sappy happiness.
I went to work yesterday, as I normally do, and discovered that I was scheduled at SAAM (Seattle Asian Art Museum, a branch of SAM). Whoops. So I hightailed it over to Capitol Hill, and got there an hour late. I have never been scheduled there before, so it didn't even occur to me that I would be there. Aside from that, work is great. I am officially permanent staff!!! Yay!!! I am probably working too much, considering I am in heavy rehearsals for the next 5 weeks, but whatever.
My house doesn't really make me busy. I just wanted to talk about it. I am living in a house near the East top of Queen Anne, but the Butterworth Memorial Cemetery. It's lovely. It was built in 1928, and I have my own room. What more could I ask for? Well, maybe a landlord who returns calls in a timely manner, but oh well. My roomates are lovely, and one of them is blind, so we have a dog!!! Her name is Felita, and when she is not working, she is an absolutely wonderful pet.
I am very very very stoked to see her on Halloween, but it poses a small problem: I was going to be her for Halloween. Now what do I do? I don't want to be thr crazy fan who dresses up like her. There will be enough of those. Any suggestions?
She is finally for sale. Goodbye, sweet car, you served me faithfully. Now.....any takers? :)
