2008 in review & New Year's

Jan 02, 2009 12:10

New Year's Eve was pretty dismal this year b/c I was exhausted from being woken up the night before by partying neighbors. My rents and I went to Church and then out to dinner at a place they like but I don't particularly care for and I kept feeling like I was gonna fall asleep. After that,  I went home I cleaned up a bit, took a shower, brushed my teeth and went to bed. New Year's Day however was great! I hosted a tea party and invited my parents, sister, and  dad's 3 sisters that live local. I made tea sandwiches, baked cookies, and brought in pound cake, muffins, candy and assorted teas. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Candy looked like she didn't quite know what was going on but she did fine. There was plenty of food left over so I packed some of it for lunch today and told my guests to help themselves. It was a great way to kick off 2009.

2008 was an interesting year for me some of the most memorable parts:

Becoming employed full time

Meeting, talking, and shaking hands with Sarah Palin

Seing Legally Blonde on Broadway with my aunt

Going to a club, pole dancing, and giving 4 of my buddies lap dances( security loved me)

Walking about 2 miles every morning with Candy each day of 2008 or damn near close to it.

Getting for Christmas a leather jacket that was owned, and signed by Geri Halliwell AKA Ginger Spice
She and I are the only 2 that have worn the jacket and it fits!!!!

I'm sure there's many more but that's all I can think of at this point.
