caught up
Last week was my first week back from my trip. I had a bunch of stuff to catch up on but now I finished . I had a good time on my trip. The ride up was longer than usual but better in the sense that I had great company with me. I picked up my Queens buddy that is staying in DC right now, on the way up and she kept me entertained with many stories about some random people so the trip went by very quickly. After I dropped her off in Queens I went to my Aunts and went out to lunch with her and a family friend. Then we went to a salon and I got a manicure and a pedicure, then we went to Church and then I accompanied her on a baby-sitting job. It was a long day but a good one. The next day was my friend's wedding. We went in a limo to the American Girl place for brunch. I brought my American Girl (Mary Elizabeth) doll that looks like me along. I was the oldest on the trip and the only 1 to bring a doll-big #$%^ing surprise there. I got another doll there, Kit, and now Mary Elizabeth has a companion. The wedding was very good. I ended up at a table with other non-dancers like me and we enjoyed lots of food. A wedding cake and an ice-cream bar-my kind of reception. The next day I visited with an old college friend and her mother and my friend and I went shopping at the Palisades Mall. After that we went to her place and chilled a bit. The next few days my Aunt and I got some projects done and we went to Broadway to see Legally Blonde-even better than the movie I must say. Friday I visited with my old Jersey buddy. We hadn't seen each other in like 7 yrs or so. It was so good to see her again. She's been through a lot lately and she looked really good considering it all. What's really cool is she likes to do the same stuff I do like shop, go for walks, and she likes pretty close to the same music as me. I am thrilled that she's gonna visit me in late October. I sailed right through to VA on my trip home and made it back in time for the 11 AM mass on Sunday. After-wards, I got something to eat and took my dog and a nice long walk-I missed her a lot but knew she was in good hands with mom. For the rest of the day mom and I chilled. Then last week, I played catch up and now things are pretty much business as usual.
