I have a lot of feelings, but only one thought: I'm just in it for the dog.
Anyone who wants to talk spoilery stuff, my comments are open to you, and I'll try to respond in a coherent manner.
Also: I know the dog's the only one who likes me. You have no idea how happy that makes me.

April's right about Fred (except she was on "Angel." *g*)
Of course you're free to join in the discussion! You're always welcome!
I came in predisposed to like Shaw because I liked the actress so much on "Life." (Except I keep not being able to remember her name is Shaw because it was Reese on "Life," so first I think of her as Reese, then I think, no, she's not Reese...and then I just get lost. But what else is new?
She's a more active participant this season, and she's become quite attached to Bear. Bear seems to like her OK, but he moves to Reese as soon as he shows up, and it's pretty hilarious the way Reese will smirk at her like, "My dog," while she scowls at him. I honestly believe a real falling out between them would have to be about Bear for her to be emotionally invested.
I like Reese because he's so off-kilter. I like my characters a little strange.
In completely OT news: yesterday I made a major breakthrough in a plot point on The Neverending Mirror Story, wrote the necessary scene, and am now in the home stretch. I'm singing "I'll Be Home For Christmas," because it's entirely possible!

Somehow I had a braincloud where Angel is concerned. Perhaps because I came into Buffy very late and became an instant Spike/Buffy believer. Going back and watching early seasons irritated me because they weren't as well written and Angel was blah compared to Spike. So I never watched Angel. Before you hate me, please note: some of my besties are "Angel-forever." However, this explains the Fred reference being lost on me.
Also, the Shaw-Reese ref. Thanks for explaining because I have seen "Life" and really liked it. But sorry folks I do NOT remember her. I'm absolutely terrible with face recognition.
I, too, love off-kilter characters...a little mad, a little dark. (There was coercion involved for me to like Roger Lococco, tho, but the coercion worked. Put me in a closet and force me to watch Kevin Costner's Robin Hood or anything Hobbit-related and I will shout to the world: YES I LOVE ROGER LOCOCCO FOREVER!!!)
I want to start from the beginning rereading your mirror story. But I want you to finish first. Besides, I've lost all the links to it now, so we need to start me over with chapter one. I will be singing "I'll be THERE for Christmas!" And a wonderful Christmas present it will be, like my own private "Yuletide".
