HAY MATRIX FOLKS!
I need to check notes before I make a reply to this thread. The reply that think makes most sense is below, but it involves the exact workings of this whole Morpheus-Oracle business, and I feel that checking in before talking about other people's pups is a Good Thing. SO! Please please please let me know what works and what doesn't. <3!

Morpheus. THAT name makes him go from angry to calculating. He hates Neo, yes certainly, but that situation was being handled, and his relationship with the Oracle is much much older. He knew that Morpheus was the Oracle - he'd known there was a new avatar the second the transfer happened, the same way the Architect did, and now hearing the name...yes, he felt it with certainty. It was part of their function to know who each other were, if not what or where at a given time, and thus the triumverate continued.
Back when he was a human Rebel, Morpheus was a fearsome warrior, but a man of strictest principle. And the Oracle never took direct action. She fostered and guided others, giving and directing the flow of information - much as the Merovingian and the Architect did, each in their own way. If the Oracle was running around with an identity that was no longer pacifist but willing to shoot people, to act directly...
It was likely that Morpheus had not yet fully awakened to his new role and identity as the Oracle. There was always a period of adjustment when such a powerful program absorbed a new avatar. Which meant that the processes of the Matrix that the Oracle watched over were being neglected.
"Alright," he says, after a moment and in a calm voice. "Balthazar, my friend, you are lucky to be here at all, and I for one am most pleased that you are made of stronger stuff." He sucks in a breath throught his teeth. "You come to me during interesting times. Let us see how interesting we can make them. You were able to plant a trace? Which one of these little rebels has it?"
