Zomg so finally Buffy season 8 came in the mail! here are my thoughts:
Spolierific spoilerys of spoilerness!!
Kay well firstly omg it was short! Well, most comics are but its a bit jarring coming from the 1 hour TV show Buffy. They packed in a heap of awesomeness though which was.. awesome!
First Scene (Buffy and Jr. Slayers leap out of copters):
- alright so i'd seen this already but i still find the whole commando slayers dropping out of a plane just hilarious
- yay for them explaining away the immortal bullshit, that whole thing annoyed me
- i really like the slayer thats wearing the scalp of a kitten on her head. or whatever it is
Second Scene (Xander in the slayer command center... thing):
- i really loved the green coloring in the panels
- Xander didnt really feel like Xander to me till the very end of the scene, but my my doesn't he look strapping in his all black getup and his eyepatch. arrr.
Third Scene (killing the baddy):
- Krak! Klaaang! Grissh! Uuurlllgh! Shuuk! WHOOT! I love me some Buffy action
- the symbol is interesting, as was the um.. flying dude? what the hell was with that last panel!
- The blond slayer that speaks.. "vell, like dis" kind of bugs me because the 'accent' reminds me a heap of Kendra
Fourth Scene (Army Helicopter):
- *fangirls over the frame colors at the start*
- the army again! Not entirley sure what to think about this yet but hmm.
- in the frame where the girls face is reflected in the guys helmet, i seriously thought that the chick might be Anya. but alas..
Fifth Scene (Buffy talks to Xander then talks to Dawn):
- that symbol? so a frown turned upside down, then turned upside down again. I'm with Xander on this one
- This was my favorite scene in the comic because i really felt the Buffy vibe from it, there was banter and just awesome.
- Hugeass Dawn? made my LIFE. It's was the first of whats going to be many times im sure where im going to be sitting there wishing that this was being filmed, not just drawn.
- i found this whole scene to be drawn very purdy like, its probably my fave
Sixth Scene (Some unidentified Army Hospital):
- I'll say it again, I'm not to sure about this army thing but omg i am EXCITED about Amy! whoot! Loved her since she started in Buffy! Even when shes being bad!
- ZOMG TBC UGH. well duh right, but still, it left me dying for more and my next comic probably wont come for like 10000 years, considering how slow this one was.
