about an hour ago i got in my car after visiting a friend and i heard on npr that jerry falwell had died. the first thing that came into my head was the "ding dong the wicked witch is dead" song from the wizard of oz. then, i get home and a friend has sent me the new york times article about jf's death, and in the note he wrote "ding dong the dick is dead." and then, i look through my flist and my lovely
biggreenbeacon has written as the subject line of her latest post, which includes a link to an article about jf's death, "ding dong the wicked witch is dead."

coincidence? i think not.
