Need some advice...

I have been going to my hairdresser mostly because of their location. (I used to go somewhere else and now they are all the way out on Edgewater which sucks coming from Saint Cloud.) My guy is great and has done good by me; but he's a little too conservative for my taste. I have been asking people their thoughts and most say "just don't go back." I've heard from people who have tried to talk with their hairdressers and it went badly. So, my thoughts are, if they are going to be all ticked and offended anyways, is it worth the conversation? Is there any good way to "break up" with your stylist???
