About (some) Girls (who) Love Techno:

Chel-C Faith: DEF

Take the groove of Detroit, the understated emotion of
Berlin, and the sparkle of a California sunrise, run
them through eight boxes and a tangle of cables and
press play. Using her innate musicianship and a 100%
laptop-free hardware setup, Chel-C Faith creates
hypnotic, blissed-out techno for early morning
revelers.

Shortly after leaving the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music as a teenager, Chelsea got involved in the
Bay Area warehouse party scene as a promoter and
techno-advocate with DEF. At the urging of friends,
she began playing live sets of her own music in 2005.
Today she continues to bring her unique style of
melodic techno to dancefloors around the Bay Area as a
live performer.

Forest Green: Cute Thing With Fangs / Daly City Recs

What can be said about Forest Green? If you live in
San Francisco, she's long been your last, best hope of
hearing dope techno in anything approaching a
mainstream setting. Still, she keeps her chops sharp
by gigging at undergrounds and one-offs all over the
world.

While you're just as likely to catch her paying the
bills with balls-out electro, breaks, or dubstep sets,
this lady's loving heart is tuned to deliver the
techno madness.

Tireless in her support of the rave as a venue for
personal and artistic expression, Forest has rightly
gained fame as a consummately professional DJ and live
performer, earning the respect not only of her
audience, but the promoters who work with her. There's
no telling whether she'll pull out vinyl, cd, or jam a
live set from her laptop, but there's a one hundred
percent chance of dancefloor twerkin'.

Saya: Filter.SF

Saya brings eight years of experience Djing and
promoting techno in both her native Japan and in San
Francisco, where she has lived since 2004. Like her
peers Ken Ishi and Fumiya Tanaka, Saya has an
exceptional ear for turning melodic techno and minimal
tech house into an engaging dancefloor jam that goes
beyond niche appeal.
Saya held a weekly party Olive Bar in San Francisco
prior to joining the Filter crew and has played
everywhere from 111 Minna to Burning Man.

Solekandi : Filter.SF + Bay Area Beatdrop

A relative newcomer to the full time techno faith,
Solekandi arrived to San Francisco from Eastern Europe
in the year 2000 with a bagful of deep house, broken
beat, wierd ass German shit and Brazilian disco.

Once meeting her partner Kontakt, it was a marriage
made in techno heaven. Out of a heavy addiction to
bleeps and bloops, several parties were born,
including: Fukwerk, Low End and today's Filter.SF.

Combining a love of ahead-of-its time EDM with a deep
reverence for the people who make it, she has opened
for respected names such as Pheek, Fumiya Tanaka and
Joel Mull.
